]]> The Lima rug is a unique addition to our kilim collection, featuring a design based on an eclectic mix of different elements and geometric shapes. Diamonds, hexagons, arches, and solid-colored stripes of varying widths create a surprisingly lightweight effect. Two of its sides are finished with tassels.
Kilim weaving is a traditional rug-making method that uses only threads, tightly interlacing the weft on a handloom without knotting. This process results in a lightweight, pileless rug, similar to upholstery. Furthermore, this technique offers great design flexibility, a characteristic that we at GAN explore extensively to create rugs with striking patterns and details.

]]> Felt is obtained by carding wool, applying steam, and pressing it. This compact material, which doesn’t result from a weaving process, offers endless design possibilities, as it can be cut and die-cut, sewn or embroidered, braided, and shaped. Oryza is a design inspired by the aesthetic of rice fields seen from the air, the cereal from whose scientific name the collection takes its name. Therefore, its pattern is conceived from broken lines, also arranged in quadrants and rows, mimicking the layout of rice paddies.

]]> Our Trama round rug features a design inspired by traditional crocheted doilies. Its light gray pattern, set against a black background, is crafted using the innovative hand-tufted technique. A unique feature is that this crochet-style pattern is made with a thicker yarn, giving it a striking three-dimensional feel due to its added volume.

Designed by the Valencian studio Odosdesign, Trama is made using 100% virgin wool, resulting in a rug that is incredibly soft to the touch and comfortable underfoot. While its striking design certainly deserves a prominent place, its shape also makes it suitable as a complement to a round table. It is available in two diameter options.
