When creating the design for his Coffee Table, Isamu Noguchi incorporated the biomorphic aesthetic of his sculptures into a piece of furniture with organic forms. Perhaps this is why Noguchi considers this table his finest furniture design. Isamu Noguchi was born in Los Angeles in 1904, the son of Japanese poet Yone Noguchi and American writer Leonie Gilmour. He studied at Columbia University and the Leonardo da Vinci Art School. He is considered a universal talent whose creative work transcended the boundaries of sculpture to encompass stage sets, furniture, lighting, interiors, and also outdoor plazas and gardens. His sculptural style, indebted to a vocabulary of organic forms, exerted a marked influence on design in the 1950s. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":28579,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_joinchat":[]},"product_brand":[1681],"product_cat":[890,878,872,899],"product_tag":[948],"class_list":["post-28578","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-vitra","product_cat-modern-furniture","product_cat-sign-livingroom-malaga-marbella","product_cat-rooms-en","product_cat-side-and-coffee-tables-malaga-marbella","product_tag-isamu-noguchi","pa_diseno-isamu-noguchi","first","instock","product-type-simple"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
