MHC.1 is a reissue of the prototype of the first modern piece of furniture made by Molteni&C, the chest of drawers designed by Werner Blaser. It never went into production, but it won first prize at the 1955 Cant\u00f9 International Competition, the first “Selettiva,” convened to revitalize the image of Italian manufacturing. The jury consisted of Gio Ponti, Alvar Alto, Romano Barocchi, Carlo de Carli, and Finn Juhl.
