The design of the Mangas Original collection involved four years of research to find the tools and the complex working method that allows these pieces to be woven entirely on a hand loom, despite their changing textures, types of threads, weft orientations and widths.<\/p>\n
Taking hand-knitted wool sweaters as her aesthetic inspiration, Patricia Urquiola sought to design a rug with ample volume that could combine different textures. This led not only to a whole collection of rounded shapes, inspired by the pattern of a sleeve, but also to a series of poufs in original shapes. <\/p>\n
Some rug models are very long and large, while others are medium or small in size, and in some cases, they can be combined like modular pieces. They can also be hung on the wall like a tapestry, either in their entirety if they are small pieces, or covering part of the floor and wall if they are larger. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
