Dedon makes hand-woven outdoor furniture built for sun, salt and chlorine, which suits beach houses and pools along the Costa del Sol. Oboe Muebles works with the brand and lists 63 Dedon pieces in its catalogue, from lounge seating to lighting.

On this page you will find the range, the background behind it, and how to order it through Oboe's showrooms in Marbella and Málaga.

Dedon: hand-woven outdoor furniture

Dedon was founded in 1990 by Bobby Dekeyser, a former professional football goalkeeper, and began with a weatherproof synthetic fibre for woven furniture. Since 1994 the brand has produced in Cebu, in the Philippines, where its own 15,500 m² factory has operated since 2000 with around 260 artisans; every piece is woven by hand. A single item can take up to 1,700 yards of fibre and 60 hours of weaving. The DEDON fibre is researched and made in northern Germany, and the brand states that it resists chlorine, salt water and sun without absorbing moisture. The EcoCycle Fiber, introduced in 2021, is 90% plant-based, and the brand is present in more than 100 countries.
