STARCLOCK
George NelsonIn 1947, the American designer George Nelson was commissioned to create a collection of watches. After studying how people used clocks, Nelson concluded that the time could be read from the relative position of the hands, thus making it possible to dispense with numbers. Also, since most used wristwatches, he assumed that wall clocks had become decorative elements of interiors.
With his collection of Wall Clocks (1948-1960), George Nelson created a wide range of clocks, some of which have become true icons of the 1950s.
