Bitta is characterized by a combination of aluminum frames, seats woven with polyester rope and comfortable cushions, teak wood, and stone for the tabletops—materials perfectly resistant to the elements. “The designer’s intention was to create a dense yet breathable weave reminiscent of the braided ropes used to moor boats to docks (hence the name Bitta, which means ‘mooring’ in Italian)—giving the pieces a sense of lightness while making them look like cozy nests in natural tones, perfect for relaxing.”
