EM
Brand:
Designer and engineer Jean Prouvé developed the EM Table in the 1950s for his “Maison Tropicale” project. Following the principles of the “aesthetics of necessity,” even the smallest details of this table are determined by its structure. The angled legs are connected by a crossbar that makes the structural forces and stress flow evident, something usually only seen in engineering works.
In keeping with Jasper Morrison’s “supernormal” design philosophy, the Plate Dining Tables are characterized by their classic, simple form and perfectly balanced proportions. Available in various sizes, the appeal of these tables lies in the interplay between their subtle curves and crisp edges. The elegant base and the fine tabletop, crafted from premium solid wood, marble, or powder-coated MDF, combine to form a harmonious whole in which the individual elements are nonetheless clearly distinct.
