Plass Media brings the great charm, captivating presence, and magical luminosity of Plass to a smaller scale. As the name suggests (a combination of “plastic” and “glass”), Plass interprets the familiar image of a glass pearl on a different scale, using a 21st-century material and process: rotationally molded transparent polycarbonate. Thanks to the technology employed, the finishes are characterized by subtle irregularities reminiscent of glass imperfections, highlighted by the dual light source. Plass evokes a frosted glass pearl illuminated by sunlight, but in this case, the light comes from within, not from without, reflecting off the incisions that crisscross the surface. The unique effect is even more immediate and practical in the new Plass Media version, available in tabletop and pendant models, their size making them suitable for medium-sized spaces.
