Gregor is complemented by comfortable seat cushions with polyurethane foam fillings of varying densities, as well as soft cushions supported by thin leather backrests for maximum comfort. To accompany the Gregor sofa, Vincent Van Duysen has designed a series of Hubert side tables with rounded shapes and leather upholstery, which perfectly complement the modular sofa design.
The Gregor modular system for Molteni & C. includes various straight, corner, and peninsula units that can be mixed and matched to provide multiple configurations for a living space designed for conversation, reading, and entertainment, with all available media devices. The many features that distinguish this range underscore the overall lightness of the design. The steel base, in a new zinc finish, is supported by a lightweight structure covered in leather, as are the armrests. The backrest adopts the classic approach of the Belgian designer’s sofas: large with raised stitching, but with an innovative solution for the corner, which in this design is rounded to maintain the continuity of the form. As an alternative to the winged armrest, there is a trapezoidal, padded, slightly flared version that offers a more comfortable position.
