The Mayor Sofa was created by Danish designers Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen for Søllerød Town Hall, built between 1939 and 1942. This modernist design features a solid oak frame, tightly upholstered yet loosely cushioned, creating a more relaxed feel. Jacobsen and Lassen aimed for a more human approach to modernism, focusing heavily on comfort and livability. The Mayor Sofa won the ‘Best Reissue’ award at the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Awards in 2013.
