KONOHA
Toyo ItoFrom the double spiral algorithm, by nature, a unique shape emerges. Toyo Ito was inspired by this particular shape to design furniture that facilitates the meeting between people and allows the spaces to be used freely. The result is benches with a vegetal silhouette, similar to the fragments of a plant, with which we can compose a complete leaf. For the finishes, Toyo Ito opts for noble materials: wool, wood, and steel to enhance the organic component of the design.
Combining the different pieces of the series, we obtain different rhythms. By changing the position or orientation of the benches, we can modify the context and adapt to the dimensions of any space. For the finishes, it opts for noble materials: wool, wood, and steel to enhance the organic component of the design. Konoha is a Japanese word that means “tree leaves.”
