AÏKU
Jean-Marie MassaudAÏKU is the new collection of chairs designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, for domestic and contract spaces.
AÏKU comes from the Japanese word “haiku” and means a short poem usually composed of three lines. Beautiful poems that in a few words express special meanings; a simple poem, without embellishments and lexical conjunctions, drawing its strength from suggestions. Due to its incredible brevity, it requires a considerable synthesis of thought and image.
The meaning and sound of this word reveal the concept of the project to reconcile the paradoxes of uses and sensitivity. AÏKU may be radical, but at the same time, it is a refined architecture designed for domestic environments as well as offices and public spaces.
