This is the Catania rug from our kilim collection, a model designed by Sandra Figuerola, taking as its main inspiration a recurring drawing pattern on tiles, very present in the culture of the Mediterranean basin. It is a piece with moderate graphics, which, however, is also very colorful due to the prominent presence of the color red. The kilim is an artisan method of making rugs in which only threads are used, firmly interweaving the weft on a manual loom without knotting. Due to this process, the result is a light fabric with a texture without hair, similar to upholstery. In addition, it is a technique that offers excellent flexibility in design.
