Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Sancal, Silla40 is born. Its distinctive feature lies in the back, a different one for each decade of the brand's life. Each of which is inspired by a key historical moment in the history of furniture. The R20 backrest symbolizes the avant-garde and is inspired by Marcel Breuer's Cesca chair. The R30 backrest is a tribute to the Scandinavian design of the 1930s and is inspired by Alvar Aalto's 69 chairs. The R40 backrest represents organic design from the 40s to the 60s and is inspired by the z's that are represented by the R70 backrest, which is inspired by the Synthesis 45 chair that Ettore Sottssas developed for Olivetti. The Silla40 combines ash wood with upholstered seats and backs. Ash is available in any color from our stain chart. For upholstery, we offer a wide range of samples.
