DOLMEN
Ferruccio LavianiFloor lamp to be installed against the wall with diffused and reflected light. The lamp is made of a laser-cut aluminum plate, bent with a bending press, and finished by hand. The aluminum is anodized and successively varnished with transparent or colored liquid. It has two opal PMMA diffusers. The front is slightly embossed. A transparent PMMA plate has been placed between the two diffusers, which spreads the light from the multichip LEDs installed on the long sides of the aluminum structure. The plate is laser engraved in the areas that coincide with the portholes to concentrate the reflection of light. It has an electric cable and a transparent light regulator for mandatory anchoring to the wall. Small support is supplied as standard.
One of the most iconic projects in Foscarini history, revisited based on the new opportunities that can be obtained by LED technology. This is Dolmen, the lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani in the mid-1990s. A piece of strong symbolic value, an expression of a concept of lamp sculpture that never goes unnoticed thanks to the exceptional nature of its monolithic shape, with four large holes similar to the portlights of a ship, and its unusual placement against the wall, in addition to its placement in suspension. Using an LED light source with a dimmer, with a warm, and uniform light, has made it possible to adapt the design of the lamp, which becomes slimmer and more aesthetically clean. The proposed finishes transform your personality, suggesting different emotions and atmospheres: matt orange with an industrial flavor, brushed aluminum with hi-tech inspiration, or warm bronze color. In all versions, Dolmen gives the environment in which it is placed its daring character and immediately recognizable personality.
