LUMIERE XXL
Rodolfo DordoniTable lamp with direct and diffused light. Mouth-blown jacketed glass diffuser with a glossy finish, white inside and colored outside. Base and post in die-cast aluminum finished and polished by hand in the aluminum version, painted with liquid in the black chrome version. Switch with a dimmer that allows gradual regulation.
It was 1990 when the designer Rodolfo Dordoni asked Foscarini for a new cultured, elegant and creative interpretation of the classic screen. From that meeting, Lumiere was born, currently still a best seller in the collection and an icon in the contemporary design scene. The first Lumiere inspired the XXL and XXS versions, a new interpretation of the original project with new proportions and a more daring feature. Lumiere XXL and XXS are currently presented with a renewed look, with current colors that highlight their elegance and bring them closer to the tones of contemporary furniture. Alongside the usual white, cool gray, and cool brown are the refined proposals for the mouth-blown glass lampshade, which combines with the new brushed aluminum or black chrome finishes for the frame. Instead, the latest reading, Lumiere XXL, represents a new search in proportions, size, and aesthetic language. Maintaining the dualism between the blown glass diffuser and the metal base, it is combined with the new palette of the table version but with a new harmony, creating a new presence in the space: essential but discreet, elegant but without ostentation, adapt to daytime environments.
