Rafa GarciaInspired by the sponginess of kimono ties (obis in Japanese), the new design by Rafa García for Sancal is an extra-comfortable “sofa-mattress”. The height of the backrest and the curvature of its arms embrace whoever sits on its soft pillows. The textile padding reinforces this sensation of softness.
Rafa has designed simple, slender legs (transparent or stained ash) to lighten the design that raises it deep off the ground. In the methacrylate version, this sensation area is much more evident. Obi is as comfortable as it is practical. Thanks to its extensive modulation it is possible to make a multitude of configurations. We highlight the long angles to make stylized corner compositions and the 134cm chaise with which to configure a sofa with more depth.
Fiberdream
Sancal has patented Fiberdream for making pillows such as
high-quality material and features. It is a special microfiber
that faithfully simulates goose down. Thanks to Fiberdream we got
the comfort and feel of traditional down pillows without
the inconveniences of losing feathers and possible allergies. This sofa is completely removable.
