TALO
Sebastian HerknerTalo, a revision of the classic armchair for hospitality. Without fanfare but with a distinctive and tremendously contemporary touch, Talo provides something more than extraordinary comfort, making it suitable for all kinds of settings. The two-seater sofa complements the armchair without losing an iota of comfort.
All the details count, from the wide living area that surrounds the upper profile of the piece to the peculiar cushion on two levels. The most characteristic feature of Talo is found in its stressed legs (or roots) that climb the structure and stand out below the fabric.
Sebastian Herkner is one of the breakout designers of 2012. He started in fashion while still a student working for Stella McCartney, where he learned to appreciate the textures and structures of fabrics. In 2006 he founded his product design studio and began working for publishers from different latitudes: Classicon, De Vorm, Moroso, and Nanoo. He combines his work as a designer with his role as a professor at the Faculty of Art and Design in Offenbach. Talo is the result of his first successful collaboration with Sancal.
