TRESS
Marc SadlerSuspension lamp with diffused and direct light. The fiberglass-based diffuser in various materials is manufactured by molding the tape on a mold with automatic pitch/design control and is liquid painted.
The seduction of a feminine braid is the original inspiration for the Tress family of lamps. A design idea transformed into reality by Foscarini, through the development of a completely original technological process, in which a fiberglass and resin ribbon intertwined with ordered chance becomes the structure and decoration of the lamp. Tress changes personality depending on the color: the white version is light and discreet, the black, volcanic, and totemic version is strong and decisive; the crimson red version, in which the contrast between inside and outside is even more evident, surprising in indigo blue and extremely current in ecru, a tone between gray and beige. The pendant version – in medium, small and mini sizes – has been studied to illuminate a specific area in the space below; Tress large suspension is instead characterized by a more diffuse propagation of light. The various sizes can be used separately to enhance a corner without light or the space of a room or in compositions or rows, to create perspective effects.
