The rugs in the Waterkeyn collection are designed with a surface that seems to change color, with transitions so subtle that they can be disconcerting simultaneously. This is because jute buckles are used in its construction, a material that produces the sensation that it changes color depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The different perceptions of color that this Waterkeyn model has are similar to the changes in tonalities offered by the water of a lake or a pond with its slight movement.
