Ami Ami
Brand:
Inspired by the interplay of warp and weft in fabric, the Ami Ami chair, whose name literally means “to weave” in Japanese, was born from designer Tokujin Yoshioka’s desire to reproduce one of his country’s typical stylistic icons: weaving. Simple square lines contrast with the richness of the weave, achieved on both internal and external surfaces through a complex industrial process that recreates the motif using a single mold. Ami Ami combines the allure of Eastern culture with the use of innovative materials like polycarbonate and is available in two transparent versions: crystal and smoke, and three matte versions: red, white, and black.
