Together with the creative studio Yonoh, Sancal presents a unique collection of side tables and occasional seating. Given Clara and Alex's Valencian roots, it's no surprise that they turned to ceramics for inspiration. Mosaico is a puzzle-like piece that allows you to create spatial solutions adaptable to any need. The bases are made of ash wood and are available in five sizes, to which you can add marble or wood tops and seat cushions upholstered in a wide variety of fabrics. Optional backrests also allow you to transform the poufs into small sofas. The hexagonal piece allows, among other possibilities, the creation of 360° compositions. The corner table adds a sinuous touch to the design thanks to its curved side. Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma are Yonoh, a young Valencian studio that's generating a lot of buzz. They boast beautiful lighting designs for Fambuena, their award-winning Ombra parasol, and their latest creations for Lzf-lamps. Following the Sumo armchairs and sofas for Sancal, they now present Mosaico.

Inspired by the soft, fluffy sashes of kimonos (obi in Japanese), Rafa García's new design for Sancal is an extra-comfortable "sofa-mattress." The height of the backrest and the curve of its arms embrace anyone who settles into its plush cushions. The fabric padding reinforces this feeling of softness. To lighten the design, Rafa designed simple, slender legs (available in transparent or stained ash) that raise it considerably off the ground. This aerial effect is even more pronounced in the methacrylate version. Obi is as comfortable as it is practical. Thanks to its extensive modularity, a multitude of configurations are possible. We particularly like the long corner pieces for creating stylish corner arrangements and the 134cm chaise lounge, which allows for a deeper sofa. Fiberdream Sancal has patented Fiberdream for pillow manufacturing as a high-quality, high-performance material. It is a special microfiber that faithfully simulates goose down. Thanks to Fiberdream, we achieve the comfort and feel of traditional down pillows without the drawbacks of feather loss and potential allergies. This sofa cover is fully removable.

Thanks to the softness of its pillows, the proportions of the backrest and its height, we have managed to create a seat that embraces you and allows you to rest your head without needing to resort to any mechanism. To combine comfort and durability, the seat cushions feature different foam densities with an outer layer of Fiberdream (a feather-like microfiber). The back cushions are ultra-soft. The collection includes sofas and modular units with and without wingbacks. The wingbacks add character to the design and enhance comfort. For the backrests and poufs, Rafa García has created an optional cover with delicate quilting that can be added to any piece. The legs, made of beech wood, are available in natural, walnut, anthracite or wenge plus.

Eleva is Sancal's best-seller and, as such, has set a trend in the upholstery sector. The key to its success lies in its understated and refined design, as well as its exceptionally comfortable, high-quality seating. As its name suggests, this model also features an optional mechanism that gradually raises the backrest cushion by up to 9 cm. To raise the backrest, simply pull the handle on the back and push down to return it to its original position. Like most Sancal products, Eleva is fully modular. For configurations with a mechanism, Rafa García recommends completing the modular design with armrests on both sides. The frame is made of solid wood covered with foam and fiber with a velour finish. The seat frame is fitted with NEA webbing. The seat, armrests and backrest are made of HR Ultracel foam with differentiated densities. The seat and back cushions are made of HR Ultracel foam and covered with heat-bonded fiber. The inner cover of the seat cushions is made of non-woven fabric, and the inner cover of the back cushions is made of mesh. The legs are made of beech wood with a wenge or metallic gray finish. The entire product range has fully removable covers when upholstered in fabric, and only the cushions when upholstered in leather or synthetic leather.

Soft, floor-level volumes create a chill-out effect. Duo's lines have been refined to achieve a clean, minimalist design. The challenge was to create a modular seating arrangement that offered comfortable seating without cushions. Mission accomplished by first integrating, and then sculpting, the seat and back cushions into the structure. Duo's spacious seat allows for the use of decorative cushions and even the addition of extra backrest cushions. The variety of modules and end pieces offered by this model makes it versatile for all types of spaces. Fully removable covers. Wooden frame, upholstered in CMHR 30kg foam and 100g fiber with velour. A hidden gem waiting to be discovered! DB is an acronym for “diamante en bruto” (rough diamond), a nickname Elena and Esther Castaño have jokingly used for years whenever they settled into an old prototype designed by their father. Every summer, the enormous, comfortable armchair enveloped them during afternoons of reading or siesta, and they always said, “We don’t understand why it never went on sale! With a few minor tweaks, it would fit perfectly into the Sancal catalog. It’s a rough diamond waiting to be polished…” And so it was done. After a slight restyling and an update of materials, DB is ready for anyone to enjoy. Its diagonals and faceted angles, applied even to the legs, are reminiscent of the coveted stone. Moreover, its appearance is striking, so the “rough” designation is quite fitting. Now it’s up to you to decide if you want to polish it. Textile and leather cover: fully removable. Internal structure: wooden frame with 80mm elastic webbing in the seat and 60mm in the backrest, covered with 27kg/m³ density foam. Seat cushion: 35AT density foam covered with a cotton cover and filled with FiberDream. Backrest, lumbar, and arm cushions: cotton covers filled with FiberDream. Legs: solid ash wood. Copla is a modular sofa designed to bring warmth and true comfort to all kinds of public spaces. The 21 cm high, turned ash wood legs and this plush sofa inspire the name of a design that pays homage to the old-fashioned café-concerts. We also highlight the softness of Copla's shapes and its hollowed-out cushions. Formally, the design stems from the desire to create a sofa with comfortable cushions and slender wooden legs. The cushions are joined together by the legs that support them, minimizing the internal structure and resulting in a sofa that is soft and supple from every angle.
