PLASS MEDIA
Luca NichettoTable lamp with direct and diffused light. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser is obtained by rotational molding, a technology that allows the production of hollow bodies of considerable size without the need for welding. Brushed aluminum frame interior, transparent electric cable.
Plass Media conveys in a smaller size the great charm, the emotion of presence, and the magical luminosity of plass, a project that, as the name suggests (union of "plastic" and "glass"), interprets on a different scale the familiar image of a glass bead, using a 21st-century material and process, clear rotational molded polycarbonate. Thanks to the technology, the finishes are characterized by slight irregularities that recall the imperfections of glass, highlighted by the double light source. Plass recalls a pearl of frosted glass illuminated by the sun's rays, but the light comes from the inside and not from the outside, reflecting on the incisions that cross the surface. The unique effect it provokes is even more immediate and practical in the new plass media version, which is available in tabletop and suspension models and is suitable by volume for medium-sized spaces.
