CTR CHAISELONGUE
Piergiorgio CazzanigaThe light and elegant forms of the CTR collection combine technique with natural elegance. In creating CTR, Italian designer Piergiorgio Cazzaniga has done what he does best: combine technical ingenuity with deceptively simple design. The chair’s structure consists of powder-coated stainless steel tubular profiles that curve in an unbroken line.
This requires great skill, as although the corners of the tube are bent at 90°, they maintain a round shape. The backrest is only attached to the frame at two points, so it appears to be floating. The fabric with an open structure evokes the secular tradition of weaving.
