GREGG
Ludovica Serafini Roberto PalombaDiffused light floor lamp. White satin-finish mouth-blown diffuser with a glass-blowing procedure. The glass has a transparent matt injection-molded polycarbonate bracket. Metal stem coated with Rigid polyurethane with helical section painted with liquid and metal base painted with epoxy powders. The transparent cable has a dimmer acting as a gradual light intensity regulator and an on/off switch.
The result of natural inspiration and deep research, Gregg's shape recalls a large bowl smoothed by water or the egg of a mythological animal, a symbol of creation and regeneration. A pure and familiar volume due to its ease of reading, but surprising because Gregg's asymmetrical shape changes its image depending on the observer's point of view. The floor version is available in two heights, standardized to accommodate the medium or large diffuser. Result: four diverse solutions for multiple application possibilities. In the small version it can be used for reading, to illuminate an angle with a seat in a discreet but efficient way; in the large version, it is perfect as a signal or to highlight an area with its characteristic smooth and uniform radiosity. In the domestic sphere, the warm light radiated by the white satin diffuser and the essential style have a strong functional and decorative value.
