MAYOR
Arne Jacobsen Flemming LassenBase in solid oak treated with oils or stained black, internal frame in solid wood with CMHR foam. Upholstered in different fabrics.
Danish designers Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen created the Mayor Sofa for the Søllerød Town Hall, built between 1939 and 1942. This modernist design is framed in solid oak, the upholstery is tight but has loose cushions, creating a more relaxed piece. Jacobsen and Lassen wanted to take a more humane approach to modernism and focused heavily on comfort and livability. The Mayor sofa won 'Best Reissue' at the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Awards in 2013.
