SURF
Yabu PushelbergSeat integrated with the base, with rounded shapes on which enveloping, slightly protruding backrests rest, are the characteristics that make Surf a project that is perfect from an ergonomic point of view and attractive from a visual point of view. Rectilinear elements, chaise longues, angular and partially backless terminals, combined with great mastery, capture endless original compositions suitable for any situation, keeping each of them fresh, compositional freedom, smooth lines, and project originality.
A wide selection of textiles and leathers, chosen from the Molteni&C collection, contribute to making Surf a unique project. Surf is also an elegant coffee table – with a marble base and a wooden top with a small handle to move it around – useful for supporting everything you need to have within reach when sitting on a comfortable sofa.
Canadians George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, who have been working in the world of design, architecture, and graphic design since 1980, have studied the Surf modular sofa system for Molteni&C. With his experience in hospitality and exploring the nature of organic form beyond the traditional approach, Yabu Pushelberg designed seats with curved lines and great personality, free from formal obligations and with great composition and unexpected details. Ideal for residential projects or places dedicated to hospitality, among other hotels or offices.
