VETRA
Joan GasparVetra could be just a traditional, blown glass lamp, but it surprises us when you turn it on. Joan Gaspar uses a closed glass diffuser as a reflector, with the originality of placing the light source outside the screen instead of inside it. It emits more light than we expect without dazzling us: a large part is directed downwards, and the rest filters towards the screen’s interior, illuminating it subtly. As if there were an echo and the light multiplied, turned on, it shows its entire drawn profile; it seems alive.
This collection has been designed for the table, suspension, and foot in different diameters -20, 32, and 43 cm-. In the table and foot versions, the post is divided into two unequal parts, a detail that breaks its balance, providing beauty and elegantly resolving the cable exit.
