Oboe is an official Flexform distributor, offering the Meda maker's catalogue of sofas and armchairs with advice from our team in Málaga and Marbella. Flexform has built its reputation on upholstered pieces designed with Antonio Citterio, the firm's longest-standing collaborator. On this page you will find the Flexform models we carry, the story behind the brand, and how to order any piece from the catalogue through our team.
Flexform: from a Brianza workshop to Meda
Flexform was founded in 1959 in Meda, in the Brianza furniture district north of Milan, when the Galimberti brothers reshaped a family workshop that had run since the early twentieth century. In 1967 it became Flexform S.p.A. The third generation now leads the company, with Pietro Galimberti as president and Antonio Franco Galimberti as vice-president. Production stays in a single plant in Meda. Since 1972 the firm has worked with the architect Antonio Citterio, whose Groundpiece sofa of 2001 remains its longest-running design. Its sterilised goose down filling carries Assopiuma's Gold Label certification, with animal-free upholstery options also available.
