GUBI is a Danish design house that reissues twentieth-century icons alongside commissions from contemporary studios. At Oboe Muebles you can browse 46 GUBI pieces in our Málaga and Marbella catalogue, from dining chairs and lounge seating to mirrors, tables and outdoor furniture. Below you will find the brand's history, the models we carry, and how to order, request a quote or book an appointment with our team.
GUBI: a Danish design house without its own factory
GUBI was founded in 1967 by the parents of Jacob Gubi, today its owner and creative director. The company is based in Copenhagen, in a 2,000-square-metre former tobacco factory converted into a showroom. GUBI owns no factory of its own: it works with specialist manufacturers around the world, reissuing twentieth-century design icons and commissioning new pieces from contemporary studios. The Randaccio Wall Mirror was designed by Gio Ponti in 1925 for his own house on Via Randaccio in Milan, while the Beetle collection came from GamFratesi in 2013. The Beetle and Bat collections hold GreenGuard Gold certification, with 50 and 25 certified variants respectively.
