Marset: three generations of Spanish lighting
Marset began as a family metal foundry in Barcelona in the forties, founded by Francisco (Paco) Marset. In 1979 the family turned the workshop into a lighting brand and moved production to Badalona. The third generation joined in the nineties, Javier and Carlos Marset with their cousin Dani, who steered the company towards design while keeping manufacturing in Spain. Today the headquarters and factory occupy an 11,000-square-metre former chocolate-machinery plant in Terrassa, producing around 100,000 lamps a year, all assembled on site.
