A century of solid wood from the Brianza
Riva1920 began in 1920 as a family workshop founded by Nino Romano in Cantù, province of Como. The Riva name arrived with Mario Riva, the founder's son-in-law, who took over the workshop and continued its work. Today the company is led by Maurizio Riva, third generation, with his daughters Monica and Elena. It first presented at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan in 1992, and produces in three units in Cantù and Mariano Comense. In 2010 it completed the Riva Center, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, housing a showroom and the Museo del Legno.
