The Derby armchair is Zanotta’s take on a modern bergère, built around a rigid polyurethane outer shell wrapped in cowhide 95 leather. The steel base comes in two versions, swivel or fixed on feet, so the piece suits either a quiet reading corner or a more formal spot.
Inside, the body and matching pouf are padded with polyurethane and heat-bound polyester fibre over an elastic-strip suspension that softens the seat. The cover is removable and can be ordered in fabric or leather, and the pouf sits on its own steel frame.
A sculpted seat with real presence
Derby belongs in calm, well-composed interiors: a living room with a restrained palette or a generous bedroom. It pairs well with short-pile rugs, side tables in marble or warm wood and a floor lamp casting a directed light, letting the enveloping shape of the chair carry the room.
