The Maggiolina lounge chair by Zanotta is built around a tubular steel frame available in five finishes: polished, orange painted, black painted, natural nickel-satin or black nickel-satin. A sling in pigmentato 90 cowhide stretches across the structure and gives the piece its distinctive character.
The back cushion is filled with new goose feathers, while the seat cushion is upholstered in polyurethane and Dacron Du Pont. Both cushions can be covered in fabric, Ecofire or leather, and the armrests are finished in leather or Ecofire so the piece reads in matching materials.
A corner to switch off
The Maggiolina asks for a spot of its own: the corner of a large living room, a reading nook by the window, a bedroom with space for a seat or a study with a domestic feel. Its mix of tubular metal and leather sits well with Italian-leaning interiors, pale timber furniture and wool rugs, and works just as well next to a floor lamp as beside a plain side table.
