  • AÏKU is the new collection of chairs designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, for both domestic and contract spaces. AÏKU comes from the Japanese word "haiku," meaning a short poem, usually composed of three lines. These are marvelous poems that express remarkable meanings in just a few words; simple poems, devoid of embellishment and lexical conjunctions, drawing their power from suggestion. Due to their incredible brevity, they demand a considerable synthesis of thought and image.
The meaning and sound of this word reveal the project's concept: to reconcile the paradoxes of use and sensibility. AÏKU can be radical, yet at the same time, it is a refined architecture designed for domestic environments, as well as for offices and public spaces.

Attention to detail, formal elegance, and light, essential lines: all these characteristics combine naturally and harmoniously in the Achille armchair, designed by Jean Marie Massaud, which is perfect for both commercial and residential spaces. Subtraction, synthesis, and lightness: these armchairs also express, at their best, the stylistic research of the French designer, focusing on a concept of complete and enveloping comfort. The Achille armchair is so comfortable that it seems to mold to the body and envelop it in relaxation. These armchairs feature a fully removable fabric or leather cover, available in different variations and colors.
