This collection combines natural and industrial materials, hard and soft surfaces, and transparent and opaque volumes. The expanded metal used is reminiscent of certain architectural facades that insulate from the surroundings without obstructing light or airflow, while also providing support for the cushions. The slight incline of the sofa's armrests adds a touch of refinement to this industrial structure. The sofa's solid wooden base and voluminous, comfortable upholstery evoke the feeling of a cozy living room brought outdoors.

The Pergola Pavilion collection comprises a set of elements designed to bring order, form, and structure to outdoor spaces, while its primary function is to provide shelter: controlling light and heat, and protecting from rain and wind. It is intended to be an integral part of a larger project. It is not conceived as a standalone element, but rather as something that relates to and becomes part of its surroundings. The project is more important than the product itself, and that is its essence.

Swing chair from the Bitta collection by Kettal. Bitta is characterized by a combination of aluminum frames, seats woven with polyester rope and comfortable cushions, teak wood, and stone for the tabletops—materials perfectly resistant to the elements. “The designer’s intention was to create a dense yet breathable weave reminiscent of the rope used to moor boats to their moorings (hence the name Bitta, which means ‘mooring’ in Italian)—giving the pieces a sense of lightness while making them look like cozy nests in natural tones, perfect for relaxing.”
