  • The legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha Chair in 1975. Paulin designed the chair in harmony with the evolving design style of his time, replacing the austerity of postwar design with a fresh and vigorous approach. Paulin achieved true elegance in the Pacha Chair's rounded forms by finding the perfect proportions, raising it slightly above its base, and incorporating inward-slanting seams into the foam and upholstery. Through pieces like the Pacha Chair, Pierre Paulin pioneered low-level living; a modern way of living and sitting on the floor, eliminating the need for chair legs. With comfort as a constant starting point in his designs, the Pacha Chair's curvilinear, whimsical, and organic forms are conceived to serve the body, providing both comfort and warmth. Both today and when it was first designed, the Pacha Chair remains an honest and functional piece that brings life and character to any interior.
