Coiba Island is the largest island off the Pacific coast of Panama's Veraguas province. Born from a unique and preserved artisanal tradition, Coiba reinterprets Japanese straw. With a weft density of 30 to 40 fibers per inch (2.54 cm) and its extreme fineness, the texture of the abaca is enhanced by a nylon warp, lending a modern touch to this sumptuous wall covering. The matte and natural variations of each fiber blend with the luster of the weft. Woven at a rate of 2 meters per day, Coiba is one of our exceptional wall coverings. Coiba is a "Modern Japanese Straw" and is among the finest and most exquisite straws in the world.
