Like a building opening itself to its surroundings, the Kettal Maia collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola, displays an elegant lightness and naturalness. The handcrafted braiding, the solidity of the aluminum frame, and the new collection of porotex and chenille fabrics create a vibrant combination. The collection has been chosen as one of the most representative designs of our century.

This collection combines natural and industrial materials, hard and soft surfaces, and transparent and opaque volumes. The expanded metal used is reminiscent of certain architectural facades that insulate from the surroundings without obstructing light or airflow, while also providing support for the cushions. The slight incline of the sofa's armrests adds a touch of refinement to this industrial structure. The sofa's solid wooden base and voluminous, comfortable upholstery evoke the feeling of a cozy living room brought outdoors.

Bitta is an outdoor swing sofa from Kettal's Coma collection. It features a combination of aluminum frames, seats woven with polyester rope and comfortable cushions, teak wood, and stone tabletops—all perfectly weather-resistant materials. "The designer's intention was to create a dense yet breathable weave reminiscent of the rope used to moor boats to their moorings (hence the name Bitta, which means 'mooring' in Italian)—giving the pieces a sense of lightness while making them look like cozy nests in natural tones, perfect for relaxing."
