Plass, whose name is a synthesis of "plastic" and "glass," interprets the age-old artisanal tradition of glassmaking through the lens of a contemporary material and process: rotationally molded transparent polycarbonate. Thanks to this technology, not yet widely used in the lighting sector, the finishes are not impersonal and cold; on the contrary, they are characterized by subtle irregularities, highlighted by the light source, as in handcrafted glass. The colors chosen for the diffuser, blue-green and gray, are inspired by Murano glass and Venetian craftsmanship. In addition to evoking an atmosphere and emotion, the color contributes to defining the lamp's form, highlighting the depth of the incisions on its surfaces. Suspended between memory and the present, Plass lends itself to defining large spaces, even those with significant verticality, whether used alone or in multiple compositions.

From the collaboration between Italian designer Luca Nichetto and the multidisciplinary team Nendo, founded by Japanese architect Oki Sato, comes a new project with a light, poetic, and handcrafted style: the Kurage table lamp. Kurage means jellyfish in Japanese, and indeed, this lamp resembles a marine creature that dances lightly, swaying in a soft light achieved through the use of high-quality Japanese washi paper. The diffuser rests simply on a transparent structure designed specifically to ensure the absence of shadows. Kurage is made using a unique three-dimensional technique for hand-crafted washi paper. Using mulberry tree fibers, a smooth yet porous paper is obtained that filters the light, creating a relaxed, warm, and captivating atmosphere, capable of seducing both the intellect and the heart. The project is completed by four slender legs in natural ash wood, a white ceramic lamp holder, and an electrical cable covered with a paper fiber sheath.

Filo was born from the desire to highlight the different parts that make up a lamp—light source, decoration, and electrical cable—by articulating their structural and aesthetic characteristics, simplifying grammar and syntax. Its essentiality stems from the decision to use decoration to unify the elements, incorporating features not traditionally included. Now, the electrical cable engages in a dialogue with the glass elements and the light diffuser in a rhythmic interplay of roles. While the energy that allows the lamp to perform its illuminating function runs along the cable, the cable also passes through glass spheres and balls, transforming it into the archetype of a necklace, with a cone-shaped porcelain body that projects light onto the cable and the glass spheres, ideally positioned as its pendant. A generous array of colors animates the lamp with multiple identities, from watercolor tones and Murano glass transparencies, to the bright polychromes with an ethnic flavor, to the fluorescent tones of contemporary urban landscapes, allowing it to integrate into the most varied environments.

Designed by Foscarini's founders during the company's early years, Folio is a tribute to the simplicity of small gestures that transform a lighting design into a decorative piece. It is a lamp reminiscent of a taut sheet of paper, with two corners gently folded towards the wall or ceiling, a movement barely suggested but sufficient to add volume to the two-dimensional form of the leaf. Two small screws attach the blown-glass diffuser to the metal support, two points that become a delicate decorative element. Folio's light source is housed within the metal support and diffuses a warm, intense light through its satin shade.
