The table's teak base alludes to the hexagonal basalt pillars of this wonder of the world. Furthermore, Merckx favors sophisticated proportions: hence, the honeycomb, with its perfect symmetry, was his second source of inspiration. The Hexagon tabletop is crafted from glazed lava stone with a crackled effect that highlights the stone's natural imperfections.
