Casadesús is a family-run Catalan maker of made-to-measure sofas and upholstered furniture, designed and manufactured entirely in Spain. Oboe Muebles works with the brand and lists 55 of its pieces in the website catalogue, with advice available from its Málaga and Marbella showrooms. Casadesús furniture, made in Spain
Casadesús was founded in Barcelona in 1973 by Jaime Casadesús, born in the city in 1936, who trained in mechanics at the Escuela Industrial de Barcelona. Today the second generation leads the company: David Casadesús, an industrial engineer born in Barcelona in 1971, took on the role of managing director. The headquarters and factory sit in Castellví de Rosanes, about 30 km from Barcelona, with a 500 m² showroom on Calle Balmes.
Each piece is made in house by master craftspeople, carpenters, welders, polishers, pattern makers and upholsterers. Construction typically combines a timber and steel-tube frame, polyurethane foam of varying densities, polyester fibre and cushions filled with sterilised white duck down.
