Since 1994 the brand has produced in Cebu, in the Philippines, where its own 15,500 m² factory has operated since 2000 with around 260 artisans; every piece is woven by hand. A single item can take up to 1,700 yards of fibre and 60 hours of weaving. The DEDON fibre is researched and made in northern Germany, and the brand states that it resists chlorine, salt water and sun without absorbing moisture. The EcoCycle Fiber, introduced in 2021, is 90% plant-based, and the brand is present in more than 100 countries.
