Flou is the Italian company behind the modern textile bed with fully removable covers. At Oboe Muebles you can review the Flou catalogue in English with an adviser at our Marbella showroom and our Málaga showrooms. This page introduces the brand, the Flou beds and pieces we carry, and how to request a quote or book an appointment.
Flou: the textile bed with removable covers
Flou was founded in 1978 in Meda, in Italy's Brianza district, by Rosario Messina with several partners; since 1998 it has belonged entirely to the Messina family. Before Flou, Messina worked at la Rinascente, Zanussi-Rex and B&B/C&B, and helped Bassetti launch the duvet in Italy. In 1978 the company presented Nathalie, designed by Vico Magistretti, the first modern quilted bed with fully removable covers. Nathalie joined the permanent collection of the Triennale di Milano in 2008 and received the Compasso d'Oro ADI in 2020. After Rosario Messina died in 2011, his children Massimiliano, Manuela and Cristiana took over. Production is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
